I agree that the shadows are a great element in this photo!
I like the way that shadows usually look blue on top of the snow. It adds to the chilly effect!

Thanks for stopping by Painting On. I've been back in the studio on a daily basis because I am getting ready for a solo show in May. My blogging time is greatly decreased!
Shadows on the snow are always interesting. It's the contrast. I have seen some great paintings of just shadows and no object in sight.
