Robert and Fredamans; Thanks for the nice comments. Coming from you Robert I am flattered because you are the one that made me want to do this type of photos because of your beautiful posts.
Fredamans, I do use a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) Camera. I have only just begun trying this type of photo, and this was actually taken about four months ago. It is very tricky and I took over 300 photos to get about 5 acceptable ones. But one of these days I'm going to try some more but doing it slightly differently. Stay tuned and we'll see how they turn out.
I wanted to say 'zestful' because it is a cheerful and lively picture - but realised it is a pun and I don't want to make a pun. Take the pun out of it and . . . zestful!
One of these days I am going to devote the "entire" day to figure out how you did this...and then give it a try. When you can accomplish something like this you can use the word "photographer" with your name...fabulous!
Did you take this photo? Wow!!!! My husband , a water engineer likes to collect these photos.
Oh yes, re: the cars. when the husband fixes the car, I better be quiet, Also I was glad it wasn't I who left the lights on. Since I couldn't help in any way, I might as well be helpful in getting photos for my blog.
I'm glad that this kind of stuff intrigues you. Obviously it does me too. I hope you've also looked at my Phun Phriday! post. I am a long way from where I want to be with "water drop" pictures, but I'm going to keep trying different things. I will be posting a little more on how I did this one and even more on how I did the Phun Phriday! one this next Phun Phriday!
Lucy; I personally like an occasional pun.
Stacey; since it's really just water I hadn't thought of the juicy angle.
Liss; The black background is a bit of a cheat. It's black cloth. You actually need a lot of light so you can get - as you said - a very fast shutter speed. In my Phun Phriday! post I used a flash to get an even faster shutter speed than this one.
Carolyn; You're right - watch my Phun Phriday post this coming week.
And, yes I know my way around cars okay, but I mostly take mine to pros now because they are so computerized and require specialized tools and I'd rather be working on my blog and looking at other photo blogs.

Welcome
Truth? This isn't really the World's Best. . . yet. But the name got your attention. I hope that, like the title, it becomes obvious that the main purpose of this is to have some F U N with photography.

Great work!
I would love to know how you did this photo. You must have a great camera. I'm just a beginner, and so is my camera.
Fabulous photo!

Juicy!!! Awesome capture!
Not easy to take photos of dripping water with black background. You are needing very fast shutter speed in low lighting.
I need to do some of these shots but get deterred by the setting up and amount of images I'd need to take to get one decent shot.

Ann; Yes I did take this photo. Tell your husband he is welcome to copy and print the photo as long as he leaves my © and name on it and doesn't try to sell it ;^) The copy here is kind of low resolution. If he would like a higher resolution email me (go to my profile and click on the email link) and I will gladly send him a high resolution copy of this one and, if he wants, the Phun Phriday one.
