Phase II Opening Soon

Does this look like an ancient condominium development to you?  I don't know why, but these dramatic evidences of erosion have always fascinated me.  At first glance you might think that these are millennium old American Indian ruins or something left behind after other ancient cave dwellers.  Then if you look closely at the lichens on the far left side of the photo you begin to see that these must be a lot smaller than then look.  In the photo I posted a few days ago here  you can see them on the left.  I was standing about 20 feet from them, even though there is a fairly large drop off between us.  The big opening in the bottom center leading to the three smaller "caves"  is actually only about 5 to 8 inches tall - absolutely captivating how the wind and the rain have formed these holes and shapes over the tens of thousands of years.  I've decided to come back in one million years to see how they've changed so  I'm glad I have this photo to use for comparison.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I love hearing from my visitors!

You are so funny! This reminds me of a book I read a long time ago - Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean Auel. They lived in caves...maybe like this??

The formations are so stunning. I would love to live in those! WITH DSL broadband, of course.
