Maybe this doesn't look like a sunset to you, but I took a little different tack on it this week and decided to focus on what the sunset was reflecting on instead of just the sun and clouds as the sun sets. This photo was taken a week ago today just outside Zion's National Park. The sun was just finishing it's disappearing act behind some mountain peaks to the west (my left). To be honest with you this is one of the kinds of photos I was hoping to get as we planned our photo excursion.

It's amazing what the light does to it's surrounding as the sun sets, isn't it??
That's always the best time of day for photography .. for me, anyway. It sure proved itself with this photo. Lovely.
That subtle light really brings out the features of the mountain. And nice touch with the clouds in the upper right.
stunning sunsets!
Well Scott, this shot is downright inspired! I really like this one. Shouldn't be a surprise. I keep waiting for you to post something that I can really say I don't care for (just for curiosity's sake) but it hasn't happened yet. ;o)
I like this photo and the fact that you captured the sunset on the surroundings.
