Last week I posted a photo of Palm branches similar to these and asked people to guess what they are.
Rick was the second commenter and knew right away what it is. You wouldn't think he'd seen many of these up in Canada, so he must get around. I thought I'd share a couple other photos just for fun, because I think they are very interesting. I guess when you don't see something very often, it becomes somewhat fascinating, especially close up. Here's a photo of the palm tree that they are all on.
Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me. I love hearing from my visitors!

Wow - I never would have known ... palm trees are very rare in these parts!!
Good job!
I had something totally different in mind, and no, we don't have any palm trees in Canada.... how he knew... must be a frequent southerner....
Ok - I'm gonna 'fess up, but with explanation yer honour.
You see, Scott himself gave away the answer - although I'm sure he didn't mean to. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, and then hover your cursor over the picture, the answer appears at the bottom of your screen - '... Shark+Teeth+Palm'.
So I'm hereby giving back the $100,000 prize money :)
You are a clever one Rick. And for your honesty you get a big atta-boy, and I was just writing out that check too, but I'll have to save it for the next one LOL!
Perhaps less clever than observant (at least I like to think so). I was actually studying the picture closely when I happened to notice the file name below. The atta-boy is (almost) as good as the prize money though :)
