This blog is all about having Phun with photography. When photography stops being phun I'm going to stop doing it. After all, in today's digital world every photo is Just Used Pixels.

Beautiful photo! The essence of the old school comes out in this photo. I bet it would look amazing in Sepia too.
Is the school near the edge of a cliff? I ask because the black (almost like an abyss) behind it looks like it goes down a long ways.
Oh I love this and would have loved to see it in person. And if I had been there with my husband he would have seen to it that we negotiated the rivers and the fences. No adventure too large!
Love the new title and the fine photos that I missed while endlessly working in my spring garden. Always a joy to see the work of someone I admire.
Gorgeous shot, Scott!
PS: I miss your old title... I like it ... but then I'm one of those "odd ducks" that gets your humor I guess! :o)
Wonderful photo! Just a glimpse, seeing the old bell tower, actually gives the photo great depth! I love it Scott! Thanks for coming over & joining my blogger circle of friends. Your very welcome!!
Love this picture. It's beautiful and mysterious. I love abandoned houses.
I like this perspective a lot Scott - gives it a sense of mystery, especially with those naked trees in front. Looks like a red cliff in the background, with rolling hills set further back. Beautiful lighting too.
Beautiful scene.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
I love reading all your comments. Thanks for dropping by.
Freda, I looked at it in B&W, but did not try the sepia, I'll take a look at that.
Linda, That dark in the back is actually a mountain side going up not a crevice or drop off. It was fairly early and so the background was in shadow and was already darker in color.
Stephani, We talked about negotiating it, but there were so many things to see and so little time. Some day when I'm down there again I may have to take the time.
Joey, Glad you like the changes. Thanks.
Stacey, I ran a poll, you probably voted on it. About half as many people said I should change the name as those that said I should keep it. I figured no one would dislike the new name, but I do think some stayed away because they thought I must be too full of myself, not understanding that it was a joke. I kind of like the new name anyway.
Judy, Thanks for dropping by again, I'm like you, I like the abandoned buildings.
Katherine, Thanks for the detail on why you liked it. It helps enhance my vision.
Judy, I'm like you, I like the old abandoned buildings. I think they tell a story.
Rick, I appreciate your perspective on it too.
J-Bar, You're new. Thanks for dropping by and taking a look.
I have also wanted to photograph this old school but have never been able to get a good shot. You did it!!!
