Sunlit Sage

Late evening in Yellowstone Park and I was setting up for some sunset shots when I turned around and noticed how the evening sun was lighting some of my surroundings.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Lovely. And this is what I was talking about. I guess it's landscapes where I have my difficulties - photos where I can isolate my subject using shallow depth of field - I'm all over it - but landscapes are just ... blah. This I could learn from you.

Of course you would be looking around! Often our favorite shots are those we did not set out to shoot! A great lesson for all ... thanks, Scott.

The sagebrush looks like an old candlestick.

Just beautiful how the sunlight accentuates the colours. Nice shot! I'm slowly learning to do this too - most times you take the 'obvious' shot but by looking all around there are sometimes even better opportunities.
