The Conqueror Returns

We're back. We spent the last 4 days and 3 nights conquering the wilderness of the Uinta mountains in the Wasatch National Forest. As the crow flies it's about 66 miles east by south east of our house. Driving was almost exactly double that. About 45 minutes after pulling in and while still in the process of getting set up we spotted these two friends having dinner about 50 to 70 yards from our camp.

A couple days later I took this photo in the same meadow where the Moose were in the photo above. As they say: "Hey, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it." You'll see more from this trip in coming posts.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Yea! You're back!!

Gorgeous shots Scott. I love those Moose!! I would have squealed in delight at seeing them in person. Giddy gal that I am when it comes to clickin'.... that second landscape one is spot on as well.

Hey Scott - will you please tell Chad we missing seeing him around blogland?? I'm assuming he's still having trouble with his computer - I hope he's able to get it fixed/restored soon!

Wow Scott, you know where to find the best places to set up camp! These are beautiful photos...the moose...how spectacular to see them right at the top of your trip, no less. And, the meadow of flowers is beautiful. I can just about sense your excitement with all of this as it unfolded before your eyes!

Both of these pictures are simply great. I like those moose, but that meadow of wildflowers is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not sure I would want to leave such a place.

Love the meadow - love how you have the flowers in focus in the foreground and those great mountains in the background. I'm not sure I could feel all that comfortable face to face with a moose though!
