The Emeralds Are Jealous

(f5.6, 1/80, 14mm, ISO 160)

When we were on the Oregon coast last month and the tide was so far out leaving many beautiful tide pools, I was absolutely taken by the pools and the green of the seaweed draped over the sea floor. Last time I saw green this beautiful was either when I landed in Ireland in April many years ago, or in the jewelry store seeing the emeralds.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Wow Scott, that is a beautiful scene. I like your lower perspective on the foreground. What gorgeous green...we don't see that color out west too often!

WOW! Scenes like this are why jealousy is represented by the colour green! By George, I think you've figured it out! :o)

This is a great capture Scott, I like how everything looks light and airy!

I live on the Praires of Canada and really dont see a view like this often so I really am in love with it.
Did travel to the states last winter .

Hi Scott. I am a follower of Krista, and my good blog buddy Sandra told me to check you out. We are both madsnappers! Your photos are just stunning! And I love the way you even made modern artwork out of that one. I have been scrolling and kind of looking through some of your recent past posts, love the tiny cave and of course, all the flowers. I have many flowers on my blog and like to tell the legends that go with them. I see you are living in Utah, so most of your photos are from there, I'm thinking. I am signing up to follow you.

Seeing this scene makes me definitely want to visit our friends in Oregon (Eugene) and Ireland. Maybe we will make it to both places, especially when there is such natural beauty as this!

That ground certainly has a rich green color to it. I love the whole scene; it's beautiful.

WOW! Fabulous shot! Perspective is great emphasizing the color.

The ranch in my photo is a boarding ranch for people who don't have the space to keep their horses. So yes, it's real. The sign about dogs may be for when people come to see/ride their horses.

Hey, thanks for the traffic today! Some of "your people" visited my blog via you :)

Wow - that green looks like a tapestry woven among the rocks and water! A lovely green that goes so well with the blue and white. I can see why you were so smitten by it!

That is a beautiful shot, the Oregon coast is one of my favorite places. In fact we lived on the Central and then Southern coast for awhile. Has this been photoshoped? I would love to see the original photo.

I'm visiting from Sandra's place.
