"Will you walk into my parlor?"

(f2.0, 1/100, 50mm, ISO 160)

If you're not familiar with the story of the Spider and the Fly you should click here to read the entire poem.  It's a very good reminder for all of us.

Out on Antelope Island there are thousands of these big fellers in the brush along the side of the road.  The abdomen on some of these is as wide as about 1/2 inch.  I only hope that their main diet is mosquitoes and deer flies.

My posts may be spotty the next few days as I've got some important projects I'm up to my neck in, but I won't forget Phun Phriday! and I hope you don't either.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

I am not a fan of spiders, but this is a truly awesome shot of one. for a spider he is very nice looking and the detail is incredible. No, i would NOT walk into his parlor.

Great shot - excellent detail and colour, and the light on its belly is wonderful. Bet you won't have this hanging on any wall, though ;-)
