It's An Addiction

(f4.5, 1/500, 50mm, ISO 160)

Just got back from what is probably our last "camping" trip this year. That doesn't mean my last photo trip, just my last trip in the 5th Wheel camper. Of course I took lots of photos and have many to share. Amongst them are some macros.

About that title. . . I for one, and I know there are many others, just can't resist a close up of a bee gathering pollen. I loved the color and fur on this little gal or guy, and I loved the purple thistle.

Enjoy.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

I agree about the bee. It does not seem to matter how many of this type of image you have, every year, I at least, feel compelled to take more bee shots. Nicely done and look forward to the latest trip photos.

For your it's bees. For me, dragonflies. Another fine shot.. the colours are wonderful.

Awesome shot once again Scott, so is the bee getting pollen the addiction or taking photos of it the addiction? ;-) I didn't get my sunset in this week, I'm going to have to save it now for next week if time permits. This university stuff is crazy making but I'm sure I'll settle into a routine or find 50 new ways to procrastinate!

I have to confess I do like seeing the fuzz on their bodies. And this one is quite nice!

Scott this is a fabulous Macro shot! It is hard not to become addicted to capturing nature in stills because this world is such a beautiful place.

since i don't do bees, I will say i like the purple thistle better than the bee. BUT the bee is incredible in this photo. I can see every little hair on its body. the only way i will ever see the Real Bee is through your photos. this is beautiful Scott.

I adore this photo, for I too love the purple thistle and fuzzy bees at work. Nature is a photographers playground, and I can see you were at the right place in the moment. Nice post. Keep them coming.

Those thistles seem to be everywhere. But they are so beautiful to photograph. Your up and close with the bee truly makes it more stunning...
