The Sun was setting over the Snake River Canyon at the edge of Twin Falls, Idaho a week ago last night. For those old enough to remember, where I was standing when I took this photo was just a couple miles east of where Evel Knievel made is famous (infamous?) attempt to jump this canyon 36 years ago on September 8, 1974..
Do you have a beautiful sunset to share? We'd love to see it. Just post a link in your comment, or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.
If you'd like to learn exactly how to put a link in a comment it's pretty easy. I added a tutorial on how to do it to last week's Sunset Sunday post which you will find by clicking here.
Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me. I look forward to hearing from you!

Another gorgeous sunset. We are away this weekend. I can see the western sky from our hotel room. There was a gorgeous sunset; however, so many wires and street lights in the way it would not have made a good photograph. Likewise for the sunrise. We have a window that faces directly east. The sunrise was lovely this morning. Again, I didn't take a picture because of the distracting things in view.
yes..beautiful sunset!!
Very pretty sunset, If your vacation sunsets are this good you'll have to vacation more often. How about Moab? I also posted a few sunsets from this week.
Absolutely breathtaking!
Yes, I have a few sunset photos I'd like to share. You can find them here here. .
Another gorgeous picture. I do remember that jump.

I'll see if I can get one to post for today.... lovely new header, too!
This sunset is amazing,hi Scott
Fabulous sunset Scott! It's a fairy tale kind of a photo, unbelievably beautiful!
I remember that jump, I was just a kid and that man seemed so brave! Now that I'm an adult I think it was an extremely foolish thing to do! I'm about to post my Northern Alberta sunset, you can take a gander over and take a look if you'd like. Enjoy you day!
Stunning light. Fantasic view.
Your blog is full of the beauty of the Susets .
A joy to view.
Have a wonderful day.
36 years??? can't be.... my oh my, i remember it well and the thoughts he was nutty as a fruitcake. had no idea so long. its a beautiful sky with those threanening clouds.
I never did see this jump.. but saw a lot of the other jumps he made. He was from the same town I live in. We still have Evil Knevil Days here each summer.. crazy days..

Burning Bush
guess one should read the instructions first eh? "grins"
I remember Evel Knievel's attempt to jump this canyon very well. It couldn't possibly have been that long ago -- I'm not that old!!!
This is a gorgeous picture.
You can see my Sunset Sunday photo here. .
This Sunday meme is adorable, your picture is a fabulous postcard, congratulations!
I imagine it's difficult to get there in this place, but what a wonderful view, it's a kind of paradise! :)
Hugs and a nice week,

i love sunset! i will be posting my collections soon. :)
your photos are inspiring!
another magnificent sunset. I finally was able to take my first sunset though i focus more on the beauty of the water because i just love the effect of the sunset on the water. hopefully i will soon be able to take photo of the sky in sunset mood. i am really inspired by you. thanks for that.
what an epic shot this is of a very engaging place.
Gorgeous. I'm sure I have a sunset or two, but my archive is way too disorganized to find them.
Sunday Sunsets I really like that. You have so many beautiful ones. This one is very interesting with the darkness of the canyon with hints of light at the bottom. I might have to try it, I just have so little time to try and get blogs out. But that one seems simple. Simply Sunday Sunsets. Well I got my title. Thanks for spuring my creativity. Thats what I love about visiting people here.
wow scott.
your landscapes are always so amazing.
very very talented eye.
