Sunset Sunday -29

(f4.9, 1/40, 27mm, ISO 160)

The Sun was setting over the Snake River Canyon at the edge of Twin Falls, Idaho a week ago last night. For those old enough to remember, where I was standing when I took this photo was just a couple miles east of where Evel Knievel made is famous (infamous?) attempt to jump this canyon 36 years ago on September 8, 1974..

Do you have a beautiful sunset to share? We'd love to see it. Just post a link in your comment, or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.

If you'd like to learn exactly how to put a link in a comment it's pretty easy.  I added a tutorial on how to do it to last week's Sunset Sunday post which you will find by clicking here.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Another gorgeous sunset. We are away this weekend. I can see the western sky from our hotel room. There was a gorgeous sunset; however, so many wires and street lights in the way it would not have made a good photograph. Likewise for the sunrise. We have a window that faces directly east. The sunrise was lovely this morning. Again, I didn't take a picture because of the distracting things in view.

Very pretty sunset, If your vacation sunsets are this good you'll have to vacation more often. How about Moab? I also posted a few sunsets from this week.

Fabulous sunset Scott! It's a fairy tale kind of a photo, unbelievably beautiful!

I remember that jump, I was just a kid and that man seemed so brave! Now that I'm an adult I think it was an extremely foolish thing to do! I'm about to post my Northern Alberta sunset, you can take a gander over and take a look if you'd like. Enjoy you day!

I never did see this jump.. but saw a lot of the other jumps he made. He was from the same town I live in. We still have Evil Knevil Days here each summer.. crazy days..
not to sure if I am doing this right.. but here is a link to one of my older sunsets.

I remember Evel Knievel's attempt to jump this canyon very well. It couldn't possibly have been that long ago -- I'm not that old!!!
This is a gorgeous picture.

Gorgeous. I'm sure I have a sunset or two, but my archive is way too disorganized to find them.

Sunday Sunsets I really like that. You have so many beautiful ones. This one is very interesting with the darkness of the canyon with hints of light at the bottom. I might have to try it, I just have so little time to try and get blogs out. But that one seems simple. Simply Sunday Sunsets. Well I got my title. Thanks for spuring my creativity. Thats what I love about visiting people here.
