Lone Tree & Salad

When I first started this series of photos from the Moab, Utah area that includes Canyonlands and Arches National Parks and Dead Horse Point and Goblin Valley State Parks, and some photos getting there and back home again, I referred to a feast.  I'd say with the greenery of the previous two days' posts and today's, that we're in the Salad stage.  I sure hope you're hungry.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Red rock that doesn't exist in Japan.
And, the blue sky shines in eyes.
Very deep, blue color.
It contrasts and is beautiful.

It is so, and the shape of the tree is also interesting

Love the picture! I sure miss the red rock of southern Utah! Beautiful country...you do a great job showing off the colors of the desert.

I really love "red rock" country! And, when mixed with the greens of a yummy salad...wow! And, a knarly lone and old tree...double wow!

Beautiful Scott, and you know this is my kind of image!!! Amazingly deep blue sky and perfectly saturated red rock. From the red in the tree stump, looks like you edited with a bit of HDR. Either that or the shot was taken at sunset, but the sky doesn't look like it. By the way, what program are you using for HDR??? (P.S. Did you see my Tech Talk Tuesday on HDR yesterday?)

I like the way the sky is such a deep blue on this one.

the names of the parks are so mysterious to me, I really like to hear them. this is so bright and clear and i was looking for the salad and thought you meant as in green, then i read the words. waiting on the rest of the "courses"
