Sunset Sunday - 35

(f5.6, 1/60, 42mm, ISO 160)

On the way home from our photo excursion Friday night as we exited Spanish Fork canyon we were met with this beautiful scene including the fall colors along the bottom.  I know some people don't like these windmills, but I love them.  I think they are not only very handsome but I also love that they represent that we are harnessing natural energy sources.

Do you have a beautiful sunset/sunrise to share? We'd love to see it. Just post a link in your comment, or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.  No sunset to post?  That's okay, we'd still love to hear from  you.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

I agree, they're very elegant - and these look rather spiritual somehow, with all that colour behind them. I have a setting sun this week - click here

There is something spiritual in this photo. The windmills in the forefront add something unexplainable to it.

I quite like wind farms, the
way the windmills are set up reminds me of people marching... maybe in celebration of the energy they're capturing!

Your photos are spectacular Scott. I am only a raw amateur, but love seeing the images people capture. I will be watching your blog for sure. I have only just posted a sunset photo on my own blog a few days ago, hmmmm, and only just found your blog via Sharne. You can see my photo here:

I'm really an embroiderer, but love playing with my camera and computer. Thank you for sharing your most beautiful world.

I really like the colors in this photo.

Very nice soft colours Scott that really enhance the sharpness of the wind turbine silhouettes. Personally I think they're an intrusion on the landscape, but I suppose a necessary evil.

Love this. Funny, I'm going to have a photo of these same types of windmills on Friday.
