Yesterday I had picked out an awesome photo from Canyonlands National Park for posting this morning and had it all ready, but then I had to run into Ogden to take care of some stuff. On the way back I was passing an area with some vibrant fall colors and since I had my camera - I don't always follow the ABC rule - I decided I'd better take a closer look. I guess the Canyonlands photo will have to wait at least one more day.
Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me. I look forward to hearing from you!

You took a group of winners. The second one really stands out with the log in the foreground and the reflection. Looks like you had a great Tuesday.
I like the second one, too, with the reflection. All of the photographs, though, show Autumn wearing its finest.
How could you NOT stop for these spectacular shots. that middle one just took my breath away! so glad you had your camera and had to run to Ogden or we would not have seen this. we will be here for the one you had planned for today. you are truly blessed to live in sucha wonderful scenic spot
Of course you must stop at any scene that catches your eye! And, we out here in blogland, appreciate your efforts...wow! I agree, that middle photo is dynamite! That log and reflection makes it a slam dunk! What a beautiful series of a beautiful season in Utah!
great captures.. really fell in love with the second one..
Stunning colours - better than anything I've seen here. Of course, the blue, blue sky helps. I like the second one with the reflection that gives you double value on the colours.
How I adore fall colors reflected in waterfronts....you did a great job as usual my wonderful experianced friend.
Hope you'll capture me one day sitting on that very old logg having lunch and enjoying the sun, the smell of a cold fresh wind and the peace you'll be able to find at such spot. How fun would that be.
Hugs Dagmar
Beautiful colors & beautiful photos!
These are wonderful! What a delightful place.
Oh Wow.. Love each of these Scott. How very beautiful and outstanding.
Im going to miss Autumn.
I do love it and the colors.
Hope all is well. We have had a bit of the flu at my home.
the reflection in that water is divine.
i would love to walk through those woods with the yellow leaves crunching underfoot.

Oh yes, I can hear the scrunch of the leaves now! Probably because I just took a walk through some! ;o) These are gorgeous - so glad you stopped to click these.
PS: your header is fabulous!
This is a wonderful autumn series. I'm sure the Canyonland photo is beautiful, but I'm glad it had to wait.
That's quite the nice area to be passing by; I would have stopped too! Pure beauty.
Well...

but winter is just around the corner.
they are all winners for me.
you are so good at this finding the right angel and make a interesting pictures of "nothing" this was awesome. love the colours and the depth in it, nice work!
Just goes to show once again, Scott, that carrying a camera is always a good thing. Many times I'm sure many of us have seen something beautiful or unusual and been without a camera - GOOD for you and us that you are erady. And pardon my ignorance here, but what did you mean by the ABC reference?
What a gorgeous area. These are wonderful pics.
Thank you so much for all your kind comments. Of course, like most of us bloggers, I live and die by comments.
Beatrice; The ABC rule is "Always Bring Camera".
I think you would have returned here if you didn't have your camera with you Scott - what a magnificent place ! Beautifully captured. The 2nd one is outstanding but the other 2 are no slouches !
These photos fill me up--we only got a slice of autumn here in PA this year. Now I feel complete.
Number two is Lovely!

I'm glad you stopped, shot, and shared! Congratulations on the POTW.
To me there is nothing quite as tranquil as woods in Autumn and you've captured the aura beautifully! Congrats on the POTW
Sandi
Just beautiful!
Congrats on POTW.
Such glorious autumn colours! Wonderful shots.
I came over here as a result of seeing this post listed on Hilary's POTW, and I'm glad I did. These photos are stunning. I'm off to browse around your site a bit more.
Well deserved POTW. That second photo is magnificent!
Woops. Looks like I missed you yesterday. Beautiful photographs. I just love Autumn. I have to agree with some of the previous that, though they are all nice, #2 is the big winner.
Belated congratulations on your potw.
Really nice art, we still have some fall color present, but it is leaving fast.I had fun looking over your posts.
Those are lovely! We still have autumn color here in Virginia although it's past its peak.
