Autumn is Hanging Tough

Yesterday I had picked out an awesome photo from Canyonlands National Park for posting this morning and had it all ready, but then I had to run into Ogden to take care of some stuff. On the way back I was passing an area with some vibrant fall colors and since I had my camera - I don't always follow the ABC rule - I decided I'd better take a closer look. I guess the Canyonlands photo will have to wait at least one more day.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

You took a group of winners. The second one really stands out with the log in the foreground and the reflection. Looks like you had a great Tuesday.

I like the second one, too, with the reflection. All of the photographs, though, show Autumn wearing its finest.

Of course you must stop at any scene that catches your eye! And, we out here in blogland, appreciate your efforts...wow! I agree, that middle photo is dynamite! That log and reflection makes it a slam dunk! What a beautiful series of a beautiful season in Utah!

Stunning colours - better than anything I've seen here. Of course, the blue, blue sky helps. I like the second one with the reflection that gives you double value on the colours.

How I adore fall colors reflected in waterfronts....you did a great job as usual my wonderful experianced friend.
Hope you'll capture me one day sitting on that very old logg having lunch and enjoying the sun, the smell of a cold fresh wind and the peace you'll be able to find at such spot. How fun would that be.

This is a wonderful autumn series. I'm sure the Canyonland photo is beautiful, but I'm glad it had to wait.

Just goes to show once again, Scott, that carrying a camera is always a good thing. Many times I'm sure many of us have seen something beautiful or unusual and been without a camera - GOOD for you and us that you are erady. And pardon my ignorance here, but what did you mean by the ABC reference?

What a gorgeous area. These are wonderful pics.

Thank you so much for all your kind comments. Of course, like most of us bloggers, I live and die by comments.

Beatrice; The ABC rule is "Always Bring Camera".

I think you would have returned here if you didn't have your camera with you Scott - what a magnificent place ! Beautifully captured. The 2nd one is outstanding but the other 2 are no slouches !

I came over here as a result of seeing this post listed on Hilary's POTW, and I'm glad I did. These photos are stunning. I'm off to browse around your site a bit more.

Woops. Looks like I missed you yesterday. Beautiful photographs. I just love Autumn. I have to agree with some of the previous that, though they are all nice, #2 is the big winner.

Belated congratulations on your potw.
