Bloom Where You Are Planted

(f8, 1/640, 70mm, ISO 160)

As I was exploring some back country in Canyonlands National Park I looked up and saw this lone desert plant thriving in a hole way up on the side of a huge rock.  The title quote came into my mind and I couldn't get it out.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Sometimes we can not do this...
I am amazed about this kind of stubbornly to live what ever it cost!
Interesting point of view!

This is an amazing photo. It's also amazing that the plant found this home in the rock. Very well done!

Plants will root themselves in the darndest especially between the patio blocks and this rock!

That is one hardy plant. You have a sharp eye to have spotted it. Ilike the composition.

The quote goes well with this photo Scott. I was always amazed when I found those sturdy little plants growing in desert areas. Everything in nature seems to learn how to deal.

It's amazing how some of them survive. Lovely lonesome one here Scott.
