Obsolete

(f9, 1/4, 22mm, ISO 160)
For those of you not familiar with this piece of farm machinery, it is called a manure spreader.  At one point I guess this was state of the art, but as you can see this one, and I hear almost all of them are obsolete now.  We don't need mechanical manure spreaders anymore.  We have politicians.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

Ah, you stole my come-back line for a comment. I was all ready, then read your last line. I bet you saw that opening even before you took the picture.

Ah, Scott, your wit is as sharp as your eye for a good photo. BTW, you make even the 'obsolete' look wonderful with your use of the lens!! Glorious shot.

Not sure which I like more - your photo or your comment ! I got a great deal of enjoyment from each ;-)

But since this is a photography blog, I think the photo is worthy of framing. Perhaps next time your favorite (note spelling) politician asks for a donation, you could send a copy of this photo !

We had a manure spreader very similar to this when I was growing up. I never thought it would be out-performed by our politicians.

lol - too true!
My mom has one of these out on her farm. I think she was always going to put it in the yard and plant flowers in it, but it never made it out of the barnyard.
