I love Phun Phriday! because it gives me a chance to do something even more different and often see some different things you have been up to.
They say money doesn't grow on trees, but apparently in Canyonlands National Park rocks do. I didn't pick any - I wasn't hungry.
Photography should be Phun and that's why I have my Phun Phriday! posts. Have you done something Phun, weird and/or creative lately? If so, leave a link to it in your comment or just tell us it's there so we can go find it. If not, I'd really love to hear from you anyway and try to think of something Phun for next Phriday.
OBTW, if you do post something for Phun Phriday! it would put a big smile on my face if you added a link to my blog. Thanks!
Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me. I look forward to hearing from you!

What a great find, and you've made this scene a piece of art!!! Reminds me of when we were in so Utah and we ran across a huge tree covered with old shoes. Such a great photo op and luckily I had my camera with me. About a year later I tried to find that image to show someone, and it was nowhere to be found. Next time we were in the area, the tree (and shoes) were no longer there!
For my Phun Phriday post I'm doing something Phun and different for me and may be an easier way to get people linked up! I'm hoping a few people will help me out so I can see if I did it right and it works. HERE'S my link!
this is great, it reminds me of a shell tree i found on the beach. i will post it if i can find it. many years since i took it. someone did the same thing with a giant dead tree, hung shells on each limb. great phun post
Hi, great picture this.. rare and artistic.. i liked..
Filling and nutritious, chock full of good minerals. The perfect outdoorsy snack. :)
Nice capture. Love the rich colors and phun subject! Me? I'm still looking for that money tree
Never seen anything like this Scott! Really quite amazing, and I love the way you composed this shot. The lighting is also gorgeous, but i love the lighting in all of your photographs.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Looks like sculpture. Here we often see cairns of stones on the mountains and they can make good photo subjects too.
Like the rocks that move across the Racetrack dry lake in Death Valley, these rocks have taken it a step further and roost in trees. Oh the wonderous mysteries of nature. Neat photo Scott.
And Karen, on Hwy 50 in Nevada east of Fallon near Middlegate is a huge shoe tree with hundreds if not a thousand shoes dangling from it's limbs. Hundreds more lie on the ground.
Oh nice, the colors are great. Strange about the rocks, you don't know why they're there like that?
That's pretty neat. It looks like a beautiful area to explore.
Wow, and I thought there were some exotic plants and trees in Florida - ain't seen nothing like this though ! Beautiful colours Scott and love the composition.
I managed to have a little phun too.
Beautiful shot Scott, you have taken some awesome desert photos. I only wish I had more time to take part in phun Friday, maybe in a year and a half once I'm finished educating myself. :-)
Strange place and interesting find!
I wish you a great weekend!
Best regards!

Glad those tree only grow in southern Utah, they could be very tough on my mower when fall comes.
This is a great shot. Now we know where all those rocks come from!
Didja see my Phun Phriday? I did a retrospective on bison poo. I did it just for you.
Such a different beauty in the desert...but it's sure beautiful. Glad you get to have phun with it!
