I can imagine myself just sitting on the beach watching this sunset. Just looking at it relaxes me. The birds ,colors; very nice picture.

my header is almost identical to your photo today, and it is sunrise not sunset. God's blessing to us from him when we look at his creation

Sometimes I want to be a rock on the beach only to sit forever and listen to the waves...sometimes a bird...in your sunset
regards!

Lovely as usual, Scott. I particularly like how you have 'framed' the color with bands of dark, and the birds add a nice, relaxing touch! My sunset is altogether different today; click HERE for a peek.

This is a beautiful sunset, but I have a question. Is the f-stop below the picture correct? I've never seen one that high. The color is fabulous and I would love to be able to capture a scene like this.

That's such a calm scene - the birds in the foreground really make it.

Congratulations George, you are the winner. I was testing to see if anyone really looked at that data. Now that you found it and pointed it out, I went ahead and fixed it. People who think they know everything really annoy those of us who do. LOL!!!

So I'm thinking you should be putting together a book on sunsets...they are that gorgeous.

Absolutely gorgeous Scott ! 'Nuff said.

(As I read the comments I found George's and went back to verify the data - I didn't find anything unusual with f4.0 ! Then I came across yours ... ).

Here's my sunset shot (2nd photo).

I can picture myself just hanging there in a hammock...swinging back and forth....

What a place to rest your body and soul....okay this is grrrr...
I'm off to bed because my fingers make cross letters so words with no sense pop up...I'm tooo tired to type.
Wonderful hugs and see you tomorrow.
