Sunset Sunday - 40

(f9, 3/10 sec, 28mm, ISO 160)

This week may go down in the record books as one of the best weeks for sunsets in Northern Utah ever.  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights all had phenomenal sunsets, and I have been told that Thursday and Friday mornings had equally stunning sun rises, though I didn't see them.  (I need all the beauty sleep I can get.)  The only photos I got were on Wednesday evening, but I have enough for several months of Sunset Sundays and you would never know that any two of them were from the same night.  These photos require no editing and other than preparing it for blog posting this photo is SOOC.

Do you have a beautiful sunset/sunrise to share? We'd love to see it. Just post a link in your comment, or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.

OBTW, if you do post something for Sunset Sunday it would put a big smile on my face if you added a link to my blog. I know many of you do already and THANX!

Have a blessed Sunday and a wonderful week ahead.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you!

It was a great week.I think northern Utah has some of the best sunsets anywhere. This is one of the best sunsets you have posted.I posted my sunset, but added a little twist. One of these times I'm going to have to leave my camera at home and replace it with a folding chair.

Boy you can sure tell the difference between how people liked today's verses yesterday. But today is glorious and uplifting. Thanks for all your kind comments.

Darlin, SOOC is Straight Out Of Camera, meaning no adjustments such as contrast, brightness, saturation, etc. etc.

You know I keep saying that it's just not fair that I get such a different sunset only a few miles south of you and Chad. This is truly a beautiful sunset to see and photograph at the end of the day. Go HERE to see my Sunday Sunset photo.

It reminds me of scenes in which Viking Funeral Ships are set on fire and sent out, unpiloted, to take the dead to a land beyond . . .

Reminds me of colorful ribbons - lovely Scott! We've had plenty of clouds here... though I think I saw a tint of pink in the sky tonight - very subtle - for a very short period of time....maybe next week!
