Strangers # 5

Just 95 to go.  Doesn't look like I'll get it done in one year like I hoped, but I am getting a little better at it.

I decided to do some in their environment instead of all close up, though I hope to do most of them more close up like the previous four.

This is Cara sitting in the train station waiting for the bus in Albany, Oregon.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you! Did you notice? Now you can click below and share this post with your friends on facebook!

I didn't know clean and beautiful looking train stations existed anymore.

I really like your strangers project - I may just have to follow somewhere in the future.

The atmosphere is so lonely, one has to blink twice and remember you were there too. I would never have known it was a station without being told. I first thought 'courtroom', then 'canteen'.

Happy Easter.

I like this shot a lot too. Something about a single person in a room built for crowds and also a still person waiting to start traveling.

Don't give up. You can do it in a year!

The most tidy train station I have ever seen. The wood seats are charming. Imagine seeing one person in any train station these days. I wish all the beautiful wood would not have to be replaced with metal and bars. Just like what has happened to many post offices I have seen. Thanks for sharing this photo.

Scott, I don't know which drew me in more, the long figure there or the beautiful wood benches. As others have commented, this photo can tell many stories, but lonliness seems a prevalent theme.
