Sunset Sunday - 89

Click on photo to view enlarged.

Today's sunset is an HDR image made up of five shots at different exposures.  The sun had actually been below the horizon for about 10 or 15 minutes and the exposures were from 5 to 20 seconds in length giving the water the very soft and smooth look.

Every Sunday is Sunset Sunday. It doesn't matter when you took the photo (and sunrises are okay too) so join us every week. If you have a beautiful sunset/sunrise please share it. Post a link in your comment, (click here to learn how) or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.

OBTW, if you do post something for Sunset Sunday it would put a big smile on my face if you added a link to this blog. Thanks!

So quietly beautiful. Wonderful image, Scott. Love the glass-like effect.

Beautiful sunset and I like the way the two arcs of sand end at the rock. Nice composition.

I don't know which I like more -- the color in the sky or the look of the water. Simply gorgeous applies to everything.

A beauty to reflect on, Scott. Wonderful color and composition. Incredible how sunsets vary - and we're blessed with them so often. This one will make a great addition to your upcoming Sunset Sunday book !

I posted one here.

It looks as if from out of space...Amazing work Scott :-)

I like the effect of water due to the long exposure and these red tones; the rock in the foreground makes the photo special and adds depth to it.
