Mills Pond

Click on photo to view enlarged.

As I've mentioned recently, 2012 will be a year of effort to make my photography more artful and I will also be having phun with  high speed photography and other interesting processing techniques on the computer.  If you remember and liked my Phun Phriday posts that I used to have, let me know in your comments and maybe I'll bring them back.

This photo was taken at Mills Pond on Cape Cod in Chatham, Massachusetts, USA,  at the spot where I met DeWayne, stranger # 16 that I introduced you too a couple days ago.  I added some texture and a filter to it along with other processing to make it more of a piece of art.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you! Did you notice? Now you can click below and share this post with your friends on facebook!

I too thought I would use the year to make my photography more artful, although I cannot get into the texture thing. I just plan to work on composition and do more black & white. But see, you have already surpassed these and are light years ahead of me in photography. Full speed ahead.

Your photograph has the appearance of an oil painting. You wanted a piece of art; you got it!

I like the look on this one. The texture adds a bit of mystery.

I really like this image, although I imagine the original was great as well. I always enjoyed your Phun Phriday posts.

Beautiful image Scott!
I agree with "Sinbad and I on the loose" - your photograhy is great and far surpasses anything I could do. I don't think I am creative enough to do textures but I do plan to grow more in my photography this year too... more artful sounds great!

Gorgeous. Love this one. Oh, and WOW! I want to do a 100 strangers project, but haven't had the guts to do it yet. Maybe you can give me the inspiration I need to get started!

The aged effect of your treatment seems very appropriate to the subject.
