Out of the Past

Click on photo to view enlarged.
This is Union Pacific Engine 119, an exact replica of the Union Pacific Engine that participated in the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory, Utah in 1869. I took this photo on December 30, 2011.

Yesterday was kind of a milestone day when follower # 400 signed on. Today I'm at 401. Thanks to all of you who enjoy my blog enough to follow it. I am humbled and though I have thought of dropping the blog a couple times, I simply have too many blogger friends to let myself do that. Thanks again!!!!

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you! Did you notice? Now you can click below and share this post with your friends on facebook!

What a magical transformation you bring your photographs to. I love the faded hint of the clock. Nice collage effect.
Congrats on all those followers!

One of my favorite subjects, Scott - old steam engines. Your treatment gives it an even more historic look. Very nicely done !

btw - I hear you about the blog; it does take dedication, but the rewards compensate for the effort

You gotta keep persevering with the blog as it is quite rewarding at the best of times. I have completed my first month, now onto the next 11 months.

Great capture, Scott. The texture is wonderful, right down to the clock.
