Promontory Windmill

I've really been enjoying finding, creating and applying textures to photos lately. Much of what I've learned is thanks to other photographers and especially Kim Klassen. I will be spending a lot of time and effort and having a lot of phun with textures for a while.

Looks great. I still know nothing about Photoshop or textures for that matter. I so want to learn, but absolutely no time. Getting the photos taken is a big enough challenge. I just have to be able to do quick edits. I've been saying I want to learn Photoshop for over a year now. Maybe this will be the year!

Lovely composition, love the foreground, midground and background interest. Texture and toning is perfect! (Spent some time catching up this morning. You just keep getting better and better and I applaud your efforts to branch out, learn new techniques and grow. It's too easy to just get set in our ways and do what we always have done.)

It feels like the backdrop of an old Western movie :-)

Great texture on this photo, Scott - makes it seem even more remote and forsaken !

Wonderful HDR shot of the lighthouse - I especially liked the effect it has on the rocks.

This is awesome Scott! I love the texture & the colour effect.

I have wanted to join in with Kim but I have only recently downloaded the "PS Lightroom 4 Beta" trial and I haven't used Photoshop before.
I consider myself a techno nerd but with regard to photography, I have little knowledge (and not enough creativity).

Excellent use of texture. I love all of this. It's a story unto itself.
