Sunset Sunday - 93 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

Click on photo to view enlarged.
Instead of a Sunset photo I am posting a Sunrise photo as the sun rises on a new year.   I hope 2012 is the best ever for each of you.
This photo was taken this past week when the temperature was about 20 f (-7 c) and the sun was rising behind me as I was shooting to the west.

Every Sunday is Sunset Sunday.  It doesn't matter when you took the photo (and sunrises are okay too) so join us every week.  If you have a beautiful sunset/sunrise please share it. Post a link  in your comment, (click here to learn how) or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.

OBTW, if you do post something for Sunset Sunday it would put a big smile on my face if you added a link to this blog. Thanks!

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you! Did you notice? Now you can click below and share this post with your friends on facebook!

Scott this is beautiful! I love seeing your sunsets, I don't get to see many of these anymore so I'm out of the Sunset Sunday until the end of January. I'll be able to capture some stunning sunsets in Australia I'm sure! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you Scott! I've been browsing your blog, especially looking at the waterfall photos because I just got back from vacation where I was able to practice some waterfall photos with a slow shutter speed. I knew you had shot many so I was looking for inspiration and to see if I was on track. I hope to post some of them in the upcoming days. Anyway, it has been a joy to "get to know you" this year through blogging. I hope you have a truly blessed year!

What a way to start a new year! This is a spectacular sunrise, and what dedication to out early in that cold weather. P.S. We are spending the week in Queenstown and I'm not sure what the temp is but it feels like a balmy 75-78 f. I know, it's a tough job....and we get to do it!!!

Also, did I tell you I checked out OOB. You put Photoshop together with someone really creative and it's amazing what that person can do. I may have to try that sometime!

You did a wonderful job, Scott, as this is an amazing sunrise! Not many days before I followed a sunrise in Sukhotai, Thailand, on the top of a hill were a 15 m Budha stands. But my photos are far from yours...I think the temperature is the reason:)

Oh, I love your ice sunrise/sunset photos. So glad it's cold up your way again ... for selfish reasons.
