I've driven past Multnomah falls about five or six times and even stopped at the parking area nestled between the east and west bound lanes of the Interstate, but this is the first time I've photographed it. Not only that but there is a trail that is about 1 1/2 miles long to go to the top of the 620 foot (189 meter) falls and I decided to take a hike up there and see what it looked like. To get a little bit of a feel for how tall 620 feet (189 meters) is, that would be almost five times as tall as the falls I posted yesterday or about a 50 story building. Another basis is if you took the Statue of Liberty in the New York Harbor and then created an exact duplicate and put it on top of the original you'd still be 10 feet short of the top of these falls.
I will have some other photos from my hike to the top soon.
Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me. I look forward to hearing from you!

A really beautiful capture, Scott. I love the falls and all the mini falls in the area. You've nudged me here, I need to go down and have a visit.
Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the mossy tree that's more in focus. Cool shot.
Managed to steal a few moments away from company (they're out shopping - low on my list of things to do). Stopped by to catch up on a lot of your recent posts - thoroughly (again) enjoyed your wonderful shots of waterfalls, and crocuses, and stunning sunsets among others.
Glad to see you're still able to find the time to make and post remarkable photos.
I'm glad you decided to add your image to all of those that exist on the internet. I doubt that any good be as good as this photo.
It is a gorgeous waterfall and love the mossy green to the left of it on the tree.
