On Triple Falls Trail Hike

In the Columbia River Gorge, east of Portland, Oregon are scores of beautiful waterfalls. One of them is called Triple falls which can be reached by hiking about 2 mles on a well marked, but very hilly trail. After taking some photos of the waterfall I was leaving to go up the trail just a little more when I spotted these beautiful little crocuses growing wild there. I could not pass them up. Watch for upcoming photos of triple falls along with several others I got in Oregon.

Great photo Scott. I have images in my head of pictures like this when I go out into the field but amazingly they never happen. I will not give up.

It's beautiful to see this wild crocuses. In the swiss mountains (Alpen und Jura) there are areas full of wild crocuses and other flowers.
Wonderful picture!

You did a great job of capturing these beautiful crocus. Is that a part of the waterfall in the background?

It's funny isn't it, that these flowers appear every year yet we greet them each time as if they are something new?
