Hot Pink

I love to go to iconic places and find small flowers or trees or other beautiful things and focus on them and leave the famous landmark out of focus in the back ground. It's weird I know, but that's the phun in Photography.

In the background is Haystack Rock on Cannon Beach, Oregon, USA. This one was even better than most because it was a very foggy day.

I post this fully aware that there are only a few people who like impressionist motion blur photos. I happen to be one of those who loves them. I like the abstract and yet it is a photo and other than beefing up the contrast and the vibrancy a touch it is pretty much what came out of the camera. It really is a grove of Quaking Aspen trees.

Fires in Idaho, Wyoming and Utah along with a high pressure zone have left a lot of smoke in our air. It's really bad for air quality, but it can certainly enhance a photo.

Saugus Water Wheel

We were looking for a historical marker about my sister-in-law's ancestor when we found this old historical iron works. Turned out he was famous for constantly filing lawsuits against them for stealing all the water and polluting it back in the 1700s. We did finally find the historical marker just a few miles away from here.
