Idaho Rest

Click on photo to view enlarged.

On our way home from California/Oregon trip and stopped at the first rest stop in Idaho. Decided to snap a couple photos of the sunset. 10 minutes later as we are headed east on the Interstate I look in my mirror and see what may have been the most gorgeous orange and pink sunset I can remember. Too late by then as there were not exits or cool foregrounds available so you and I have to settle for this one. My heart breaks a little each time I look at it, thinking about the one that got away.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you! Did you notice? Now you can click below and share this post with your friends on facebook!

Ah, the life of a nature/landscape photographer. The other day I drove over the Nebo loop and found a look out spot with a beautiful vista of the mountains and Utah lake. It looked like there would be a beautiful sunset, after waiting an hour, no color, and I even waited until twilight but NOTHING! Sigh!

Oh I know the feeling Scott. However, this shot is nothing to sneeze at - the soft glow in the sky and reflection on the river is beautiful.
