Jumpology 101

Click on photo to view enlarged.

I learned a lot getting this shot.  I had never really tried getting jumping shots before, but while I had my grandkids at our family reunion I thought I'd try a few . . . mostly a disaster.  It is really hard to get everybody to jump at the same time, no matter how you count up or down or whatever.  I was pretty happy with a few, like this one.   I also tried some with whole families the next day.  An even worse disaster.  Over and over again some were through the jump and landing while others were not quite off the ground into the jump yet.  I discovered that we all have a different sense of natural timing.  I'm not going to give up, however.  I'm in the early learning stage on this science and have a long way to go.

well this one is pretty near perfect, they are all almost exactly the same height off the ground...

Well this one came out great. I don't think I could get that much height if I jumped.

Ha ha - I had to chuckle when I saw this and read your post. You nailed this one, however (and who's counting how many it took - looks like they're having a blast!).

It took a few tries to get this one too.
