Candlestick Sunset

The formation in the upper left of this photo is called the Candlestick and is one of my favorite places for a sunset shot when I get to Canyonlands National Park near Moab Utah.  I've posted a few from this area in the past, but I think this is my personal favorite.

We'd love to have you join in with your own sunset or sunrise photo for Sunset Sunday.  It doesn't matter when you took the photo so join us every week.  If you have one to share post a link  to it in your comment, (click here to learn how) or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.

OBTW, if you do post something for Sunset Sunday it would put a big smile on my face if you added a link to this blog in your post. Thanks!

Retirement

Click on photo to view enlarged.
Really hard to beleive, but I went into semi-retirement (meaning I now only work a couple or three days a week) almost 4 years ago.  I did it so I'd have more time for photography etc. and although I was warned a thousand times that I would not have more time, but probably less, it didn't make any sense.  Well it still doesn't make any sense, but it is true.  I don't do nearly the photography that I used to, but I will try to get more than just Sunset Sunday in and also view your beautiful work more.

This is Double Arch in Arches National Park, near Moab, Utah, USA.

Sunset Sunday from Dead Horse Point

Click on photo to view enlarged.
My wife has never been in Moab, Utah long enough to get out and see the beautiful places so this week I took her there just to let here see Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park.  We had a great time and while I was there I snapped off a couple sunset shots.

We'd love to have you join in with your own sunset or sunrise photo for Sunset Sunday.  It doesn't matter when you took the photo so join us every week.  If you have one to share post a link  to it in your comment, (click here to learn how) or just tell us it's there and we'll click on your name to find it.
