Thor's Well #1

About four months ago somewhere I saw a photo of Thor's Well and so I looked it up and found it was only about 20 miles from where I was going to be headed in a couple months.  All of my planning for that trip included that I had time set aside to get to Thor's Well.  Finally the time arrived and we headed out to the Oregon Coast.  Our very first day on the coast and I headed down to find it.  Unfortunately I didn't find it that day, but I did the next.  I looked around and thought "This place looks familiar, I've been here before."  Turns out that about 6 or 7 years ago, the very first time we visited  after our son and his family moved to Oregon they took us to the coast and brought us to this very spot, but we never saw this awesome spectacle.  I'm guessing it was low tide or something and so not as spectacular as it is at high tide.  It's a wonderful site, but if you go during high tide, wear some wet weather protection and have some for your camera too.  Oh . . . and keep a very close watch on your children.

Don't be shy - leave a comment or email me.  I look forward to hearing from you! Did you notice? Now you can click below and share this post with your friends on facebook!
