When I travel to foreign locations the first place I look for is the markets. The markets provide such a plethora of possibilities for both interesting color and tradition as well as street photography of people. I don't know what this lady in Hue, Vietnam was trying to say to me, but I'm grateful to her for providing such interest in expression and composition.

Photography and Film/Video have always been an important part of my life since I was in my teens and got my first camera. I received my Bachelor’s in Photography, Art and Communications while I owned some photo studios where I did mostly portraits and weddings more years ago than I care to count. In the mean time I completed a career of nearly 30 years in the U.S. Army where I served from Vietnam to Iraq and Kuwait and lots of places in between. Today, photography is strictly for fun. I don’t consider myself too old to learn and find the best way to learn is to share. I look forward to reading your comments and to the continued improvement of my photography and this blog.
