If this is an indication of photos to come, I think we're in for a treat. Great shot - colour, composition ... everything. My wife will agree with yours re: photo shoots - she stays far away (which is ok by me - I can get so engrossed I lose all sense of time, and photography just doesn't work for me as a 'team' thing).

I experienced the same thing - when I was at the Grand Canyon for my first time. Being there in person and seeing it with my own eyes cannot compare with pictures/photographs, etc. Pictures are still beautiful - but in person - WOW! Can't wait to see the rest of yours!

About the difference between 3D and 2D: that's so true! Whenever I think of it, I try to close one eye to see if a scene is actually as photogenic as I think it is, and often it's not.
Especially with scenery in hills and mountains, where with two eyes, you just have to go 'wow!' and with one eye (or lens), it's pretty flat looking.

Liss; You are right, it is harsh now and I think it's been harsh of hundreds if not thousands of years.
